It is not the same because it is not the same as voting. Fraudulently
registering, while just as illegal, has no real effect if the registration
is not used. Actually using that registration is what would be really
important as that would actually effect the election. So yes, there is a
big huge whopping difference.

You can register fake people all day and that has absolutely no bearing on
the actual election. It would through off stats and make it look like a lot
of people just didn't bother to vote, but it has zero effect on the
election, or anything else for that matter. Wikipedia, as many like to
point out, is not always correct. Technichically it is electoral fraud, but
it is not voter fraud. There are a large number of items that are electoral
fraud that having an id will not solve. Actual voter fraud is something
like .04% of all votes actually cast....and that is historically...so that
means all votes ever cast...which makes it, statistically, a non-issue.

"Voter registration fraud is not the same as voter fraud."

Wow. Knowingly signing someone up to vote who is not eligible is not voter
fraud? I disagree. So does wikipedia:

Electoral fraud is illegal interference with the process of an election.
Acts offraud affect vote counts to bring about an election result, whether
by increasing the vote share of the favored candidate, depressing the vote
share of the rival candidates, or both. Also called *voter fraud*, the
mechanisms involved i*nclude illegal voter registration*, intimidation at
polls and improper vote counting. What electoral fraud is under law varies
from country to country.

Ehh. It's only wikipedia though. Not exactly a quality source. Maybe
someone on the list should edit it.

Anyway, I don't mind calling it election fraud. It's a better name anyway.

What about voting when you are ineligible? Would you call that voter fraud?
That's what the 113 convictions were for.

The president of the United States believes that he has the power to order
people killed, assassinated, in total secrecy, without any due process,

literally the most radical power that a government and a president can
seize, and yet the Obama administration has seized this power and exercised
it aggressively with very little controversy. - Glenn Greenwald,
