Zawahiri has never been a leader in the Brotherhood as far as I'm
aware. I believe that he splintered off and formed a radical islam
group at a young age. I'm aware that he joined the Brotherhood when he
was young but I don't believe that he was ever influential within the
group. I mean, McVeigh was a Roman Catholic and a Republican. I don't
think you can blame either of those groups for his bombings, he wasn't
in charge of those groups.
