This article states that 1) Climate Change (warming specifically in this case) is very real and has been impacting Alaska very heavily for decades. 2) A weather pattern is giving them a relatively short cold snap in the midst of a longer term warming trend that is expected to continue after it end. I thought you were denying Climate Change, but this article supports it.
