Those Mazdas go forever can't they? I wish I still had my Mazda B2200
4x4. Fabulous truck...

I miss $100 meals out, fine wines, etc at the moment ... but for right
now. For the next couple of years, I can sacrifice to some extent. We
still enjoy a lot. We have many things right here in the house to keep
ourselves occupied with as far as entertainment goes.

I just want to keep my goal of retiring ASAP. I'm 33 this year. And if
we keep on target and focused, we'll be retired before I'm 40. It's
easier for us because we have no kids and won't be having any.

Gosh. I've sure rambled on haven't I? About a whole bunch of nonsense
... I shall get back to slaving away towards that house now ...

:D

'89 Mazda here. :-)

I did the super-frugal approach you describe to get myself out of debt
after
school. Even though I didn't have great paying jobs, I was able to get
rid
of college debt in just a couple years.

But I just couldn't keep it up. I missed eating at nice resturaunts. I
missed buying good quality meat from a real market instead of the mega
farm
junk at supermarkets. (Just looking at Perdue chicken gives me the
willies.)
I missed vacations. I still live frugally by American standards, but I
don't
sweat buying stuff. I do drool over that Audi A4 I'm not going to have
though.
