I've not read it but reading the reviews it seems just about perfect. Doesn't look like it dummies anything which is important.
Remember to ignore the language specific stuff (java, C++, etc), maybe this is obvious but it's the kind of thing I do all the time, i.e. read bits that I don't need to that send my brain going gaga thinking about too much at once!
