The Metric 200 is what came in mid 80's Cutlasses.  They are the biggest POS tranny that GM ever made.  I blew one to pieces with a stock 307 Olds engine.  The 2004R came in Monte Carlos, Regals, Grand Nationals, Cutlasses, 442's, just about every G-Body had them.  If I were you, I would look for a 700R4 out of a 90 Chevy/GMC truck.  They are built better than the earlier 700R4's.  The 700R4 is based off a TH350.  I still stand my grounds that the 2004R is a POS and not worth putting behind anything with some decent horsepower.  They cost more to build up than a 700R4 does.  The fact that they put them in Grand Nationals, MC SS, and 442's means nothing.  The sprags and drums in them are weak.  I have a phone number for the guy that builds my trannys and he is very reputable, been doing it for 30 years.  Contact me off list to get it.  He can tell you anything you want to know about any GM, Ford, or Mopar automatic tranny.
