I would also be interested in the measurements for mounting an automatic console mounting bracket to the tunnel. In my case its for a 72 El Camino. Anyone out there have their floor boards exposed and willing to make a measurement? Next best thing would be the measurement to where the console itself is, and then I could derive the bracket position. Tons of thanks to you all.

You can install them with sheetmetal screws but at the factory they are welded and they are more stable and look nicer welded. Then screw the console to these mounts and the mount on the shifter base. I could give you exact measurements for a 69 on the mounts but mine is a 4 speed so I can't tell you were the shifter needs to be mounted exactly.
