Diane, To attach the shifter cable to the tranny, you need a cable mount that bolts to the trans pan and the correct trans shift lever for floor shift. You will need to drill a hole in the tunnel to pass the cable through then mount the cable in to the shifter base and attach to the shifter handle. You should have a plate on the cable that covers the hole you drilled in the tunnel.
