And on the flip-side, I'm sure there are those Cisco CCIE # < 3000 that
don't have tons of experience with a wide variety of things.  Perhaps there
are those that got their CCIE, got a job with a firm, and only use
EIGRP......

It's more than possible......

Which brings me to a big gripe of mine.  People assume that if you have 5
years experience, that it's5 years of experience as opposed to the the same
1 year of experience 5 times over.  I've dealt with plenty of network
engineers with "years and years" of experience on a network with EIGRP that
had NO CLUE that EIGRP used multicast........  sad.......
