You are right, but marketting hype (misleading info). He still got close, IIRC, ~a few million dollars worth in stock options. So, he got a few million in stock options (the usual), and lowered his $300K salary to $1 dollar. Somewhat heroic, some would not even lower a dime. However, hardly what many people expect.
