Monel is probably the best way to go--but it will cost you.
My mechanic was surprised I went with a new tank (he did the tank repair) since he thought it would be a ~ $2000 for a new monel tank. He was even more surprised when I told him it was $450 for a custom fitted aluminum tank--which he installed without difficulty as it was a perfect copy, except for the weight.
