Not out of touch, as you say. I understand that those folks who received the iPody devices are primarily thrilled because they now have what "everybody else" has. This is the lemming mentality. These gift recipients finally belong, no longer outcasts. I do not disparage the quality of those products, but I do not that is why these folks were so thrilled.
