I don't want to start an argument here, but I would recommend that you do
your own research to verify this is a good idea before doing it. I have a

lot of experience with Diesel engines. Diesel fuel has a property called
"lubricity" which has been significantly reduced in the past decade. This

has lead to lots of problems with wear in injection pumps which were
*designed* to be lubricated by fuel. Bottom line, Diesel fuel is a lousy
lubricant and has a very low viscosity to boot.

Most engines can actually be run for quite some time with no oil pressure
without damage. (This is how the Slick 50 demos go). The reason is that
there is a film of oil left that holds up a long time and is adequate for
"no
load" conditions. (You don't see them load that Slick 50 demo engine down
to
75% power, do you?) Pumping Diesel through the lubrication system will
flush
that film away, leaving you with next to nothing for lubrication.
