Ken, Your material does not have to meet the burn test. If an aircraft is certified under FARs it must meet the burn test. You are certified under CARs and do not require a burn test. Certification basis Part 4a of the Civil Air Regulations Type Certificate No. 718 issued March 25, 1940 Application for Type Certificate dated April 20, 1938 Bob Parker Mena, AR. ----- Original Message ----- From: "dddoyle" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Coupers" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Tuesday, August 28, 2001 8:33 PM Subject: RE: [COUPERS] Fireproofing upholstery | ----[Please read http://ercoupers.com/disclaimer.htm before following any advice in this forum.]---- | | I'm planning to re-upholster my seats but the material I have selected does | not meet the FAA code for fireproofing.
