N2906H's altimeter is looking pretty care-worn (the numbers are fading). There seem to be two wildly different options for replacement. There are under-$200 units of Chinese manufacture and well-over-$300 units made in the good old USofA.
Since I'm a pure VFR type I'm sort of inclined to just go for one of the Asian ones, unless someone can tell me some sort of horror story. Opinions? Has anyone got any sources that might be more economical than Aircraft Spruce?
