I have just gotten the altimeter out of serial # 170 rebuilt by Aircraft Quality Instruments in Wichita, KS. I do not have the receipt in front of me, but I believe the cost was $90. They have done several instruments for me.
Their prices are very reasonable, and the quality seems good. They also sell overhauled instruments at reasonable prices. I put overhauled, new style gyros in N99387 last year for less than $600 outright! You can find their add in every issue of Trade A Plane.
