The cheapo ones are not TSO'd and I thought that at best you needed a 337 and field approval to use one. Does anyone know for sure?
On the other hand, why not have yours refurbished? I've used Berkshire Instruments and found them to be very good, although he did not want to work on my 50 year old Bendix/US Navy VSI...
