Because I hate CMSs.  For me, they are as much a step backwards from
something like gitit or ikiwiki as web forums are a step backwards from
netnews.

I'm not interested in making things easy for the clueless.  I'm
interested in making things easy for me.

Because I'm a rude and selfish bastard, and I don't care if I offend
people or hurt their feelings.  And I hate the very idea of CMSs, so I
get emotional when someone advocates adopting one for the project for
which I am de facto documentation manager.

I didn't set out to be impolite, merely to strenuously oppose a
particular idea.

AIUI, this discussion started because there was no single cohesive
document on patch theory.  I don't believe that improving navigation
between the existing disparate, incomplete and largely obsolete
documentation would significantly improve matters.
