That's the extent of your knowledge of Drupal but you are adamant that it is hard to use and setup? I setup Drupal in 24min. Yesterday I saw you spend longer than that just trying to get gitit to work. But you are adamant that Drupal is hard to setup and gitit is easy?
As someone who has tried maintaining several Drupal sites I certainly believe that gitit is easier to maintain in the long run (if perhaps requires a bit more work to setup; but that's a matter of opinion and from what I've seen gitit seems fairly straight-forward to setup/deploy).
I don't share Trent's belief that CMSes are necessarily bad, but I do have an opinion that all PHP CMSes are awful. (Partly because PHP is an awfully flawed language to begin with...) I got fed up babying "easy" PHP scripts, much less complicated "CMS" products, a few years ago and I still have a hard time not groaning and grimacing anytime I need to use a Drupal site, much less when I hear people clamoring to move to such a time-wasting, unstable platform.
Certainly my experiences and my opinions are my own, but I would appreciate it if you let go of your argument now, because I certainly back up Trent with a firm -1 on Drupal adoption for darcs sites.
