Correct, because there is no /usr/libexec in Debian - the file is in /usr/lib/packagekit. So we have the opposite issue here, that g-s-d can't trigger an offline update at all. We should probably fix this upstream at GNOME and make the path configurable, or fix this at Debian. So, this pretty much leaves me clueless on what triggered this - unless Michael Meskes simply overlooked the "Install updates" checkbox when shutting down the system...
