Darin, 2 cents here. I have had very, very few issues that may have been related to Windows 2003, and some of my servers get pounded on. It is the most stable platform that I have used to date, and it is definitely more secure by default than 2k. YMMV of course. Matt Darin Cox wrote: Ugh... move it to a server OS. Windows 2000 or 2003. While I don't believe Windows 2003 to be as stable as Windows 2000, it will be easier for you to manage and secure, so I'd go with that.Darin. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Linda Pagillo" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <declude.junkmail@declude.com> Sent: Saturday, September 16, 2006 2:22 AM Subject: Re: [Declude.JunkMail] More info on Imail Webmail Problem My mail server is running on Windows XP Pro. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Darin Cox" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <declude.junkmail@declude.com> Sent: Friday, September 15, 2006 4:41 PM Subject: Re: [Declude.JunkMail] More info on Imail Webmail ProblemHe means the server. What server OS are you running? Windows 2000 or Windows 2003. So far all reporting the problem are running Windows 2000 server. If so do youpossiblyhave terminal services installed in application mode? Highly doubtful -butI figured I would ask. For those that may have a TS server I noticed a string of forum poststhatindicates one of the MS Patches from August "KB917422 MS06-051 no longer allows you to read or write INI files from anywhere other than theWindowsfolder" I only bring this up because I know Imail uses an ini file for web messenging and its possible some may have TS in app mode - you neverknow.Darrell ------------------------------------------- Check out http://www.invariantsystems.com for utilities for Declude,Imail,mxGuard, and ORF. I alsoinstalled 4more Windows updates yesterday and that's about when the problemstarted. Iremoved those patches today and did a reboot of my server. I'm still experiencing the same issue with the webmail. Any more suggestions? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Darin Cox" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <declude.junkmail@declude.com> Sent: Friday, September 15, 2006 11:26 AM Subject: Re: [Declude.JunkMail] More info on Imail Webmail ProblemCheck postings on the IMail newsgroup today. It has been reported tobeanissue with KB917953 from June. Most likely something in this weekspatchesin combination with KB917953 triggered this.
