Hi Björn, all,

Hi Christoph, all.

just a quick comment: I really like the design - but the metaphor for
templates is not convincing and does not work in small sizes. I would again
like to bring in the idea of inverting the icon, which is as close to the
mental model of a template (german: Schablone, Schema) as my mind brings me
atm.

I tried to do a quick draft of what you suggested (it's quite quick and very dirty if you would have a look at the source), inverting the interior area of the template icons, but I kept the rip-off metaphor too:

For reference the link to Christoph's icons:

We don't have much time left to create the icons, if they should be included in the final release of LibO 3.3.0, so we should define quite fast where to go.

I think both proposals have their advantages - the inverted icons look quite dark, but are easier to differ from the document icons.

I don't know if they really follow the general visual language of the other icons...

What do you think?

Best regards

Bernhard

If anybody else would try his/her skills on the Master Doc (just put the symbols of four Writer icons or the full icons together on the main application icon), this would already help a lot!
