Why do we want to change the Copyright holder at all? > > We have the following alternatives: > > * Create an ArgoUML foundation or an organization or company, > without help of the Conservancy. > Really isn't my favorite. This would bring up further discussions about the location of the foundation, the director of the foundation, ... . Additionally, I suspect that there is additonal administration overhead that also might have something to do with taxes etc. (At least an official invitation to a yearly members meeting to vote for the administration and stuff) I really think this isn't what we ought to do - we can't afford to sacrifice manpower for unneccessary administration overhead. > > * Set the Copyright holder to something less formal such as > "ArgoUML project", "contributors to the ArgoUML project", > "contributor to this file". > Where would be the advantages of a "formal" organization? Since I haven't got a well overlook on this topic, I can't say what I'd prefer at the moment, but if in doubt, I'd say we defer the licence change.
