How is this different from adware?

Avery label sizes and product numbers are a de-facto standard, at least
in the US.

Do people who use labels perceive the mention of Avery label numbers by
name as a kind of promotion? My perception is that it's just a way to
help me find the right label, not a promotion of Avery as a brand.

If it were otherwise, would the Worldlabel web page have the name
"Avery", in bold, right in the middle of the page? It's probably the
second thing you see: "Avery-sized labels". Did Avery pay for that?
Somehow I don't think so.

Bundle a label database, built on OOo Base (naturally) and integrated
with Writer, to cross-reference label products and help people find the
right label in a snap. Ask the manufacturers to contribute their data
and maybe a logo, but please don't start selling "Order this product
from Worldlabel.com" links on the OOo dialogs or documentation.

We are supporting even MSO file formats :)
Why? MS has supported us somehow?
I think we are working for users needs and this sets some 'must have'
conditions.
We just cannot exist without users base, just for ourselves [developers].
