OK everybody I think I know what to do:
The extras files are located in OOo cvs (svn) at:
/instalation/extras/
And from here they are taken over into any distribution (build).
The files for dictionaries are located at:
/external/addons/dictionaries
So now I need to obtain commit access to these locations. Does anyone
know how?
You would need to ask the rights for the extras directory but:
-the code has moved to SVN
- we don't use these processes anymore.
Concerning your comment http://extensions.openoffice.org it is not
what I want. These extras are there for several reasons:
- Automatic correction of typos
- Automatic words from shortcuts
- Form of business cards
- Creation of documents via file-wizards
- Different styles of presentations...
In my opinion most of this requires localization, because every
language has it a bit different.
Yes... but that still has to go through extensions.
It is not about creating new ones it is about localizing those which
are present in the basic English version of OOo.
We basically changed processes, so it has to go through the extensions
mechanisms, except the l10n part of suite itself. Feel free to ask,
but I don't think they will grant you the access to the extras
repository now.
