+1 from me
the GTK theme on linux has some problems on older gnome versions (e.g
cinnamon which is a gnome 3 fork). So i would have to specify
-J-Djdk.gtk.version=2.2 to make it render properly. Switching to FlatLaf
by default would fix that issue as side effect.
There is also almost no use of native system-L&Fs anymore - every single
app looks different these days.
regarding jira - I did notice the L&F related issues too. Having a
consistent theme would remove indirections.
I think there should be a "good defaults" thread at some point to review
settings. NB has some nice features, some are hidden or disabled.

I'm constantly switching even when debugging because the GTK theme on
Ubuntu is borderline unusable.
So, what do you think? For or against? Maybe also add what you do
use, and light or dark, in a reply - it might make some sense if we
defaulted to what the majority of us use in practise?
