Perhaps if there's a lot of people who prefer the platform-specific LAFs, other than myself. But otherwise I'd say just go with FlatLAF, and leave the customization to the Preferences dialog.
There's something nice about NetBeans working "out of the box" for beginners, with carefully chosen defaults.
