Thank you for recognising the situation. I wrote all this to Michael by PM and got only general words in reply and no solution. Yes, I understand if Michael doesn't have time, but the problems of the lack of moderation of "users...@openoffice.apache.org" have existed for years, and for years I have been pointing it out again and again, because I don't understand why something that concerns us all is not also something where everyone's opinion should count. What is the issue? I think it's normal to run a mailing list the way mailing lists are normally run, which is that participants have to register. Where this is not respected, the mailing list is ineffective for all concerned (both questioners and helpers). I'm not saying that there shouldn't be exceptions sometimes, but that should be limited to individual cases and not become the norm.
