Thanks Justin for clarifying that.

As I stated before, I do intend to cancel this vote and do a new
release candidate.

If the release candidate is voted down then we can do another release
candidate when all issues reported about it are addressed.

There is no proof of any issues with the git tag. I would appeal that
it is left alone unless it is proven to cause problems.
