Hehe :) No, I'll stick with *almost* asking because I've been onboard with 1.3 for a long time, even though I'm not currently using it, the benefits of a CoR-based design is completely obvious IMO (enough so that I've done two projects now that used CoR without actually using 1.3). I wouldn't ask *now* if releasing it makes sense :) Almost... > I know that I'm not about to back off to > 1.2.8 on my current project, since I'm getting a lot out of 1.3, but I'm > also sufficiently invested in that that I'm not about to switch horses and > move to WebWork instead. Now, I could be alone, but I strongly suspect I'm > not. ;-) I doubt your alone either... likewise with me, I'm on 1.2.6 at the moment, and it completely suits my needs for the time being, so I'm not in any rush to upgrade to anything either (I probably could if I wanted, but I'd have some fighting to do, given the corporate environment I work in). I'm thinking more of progress... if everyone agrees WW is the future (and that *seems* to be the general concensus), 1.3 becomes less important IMO... those that want to use it anyway are probably already doing so, but I also know tons of people wait for a GA release, or *have* to wait for a GA release, and if 1.3 isn't going to make that milestone for some time, or arguably ever, and if the WW merger happens before 1.3.x goes GA, then what was the point to putting effort them all along instead of directly into the WW merger? Oops... I didn't ask that... I *almost* asked that ;) LOL OTOH, I would feel bad for Ted, Wendy and others who have put in good work on 1.3 lately, so if for that reason alone the release should happen. The reward for the effort is the release itself, and I appreciate that. Eh, I've taken this whole thing OT, sorry about that... you all realize by now I never say with less than 1,000 words something that only need 10 to begin with :) > -- > Martin Cooper Frank --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
