Two thumbs up from my side!

This is a nice small addition, I hope we can get it into 0.14.0.
I've checked the tests, and they where broken in a trivial way,
therefore I am relatively confident that THRIFT-5344 could go
into the release.

Your PR with a small extension is at
    https://github.com/apache/thrift/pull/2319

I'd be happy for a review, but the change is almost trivial
(turning a pointer into the corresponding object), so I'd also
just merge it tonight if nobody objects (and no surprises come
from the CI).

All the best,

    Mario
