Hello all,
I am currently trying the dia-0.83 release and i have to admit i
really like it to the point that i am considering in switching to it
as my default drawing tool. I have some questions so i post
them here ["newbie mode on" pls :) ]
(I am mostly using the "network diagrams", if it's of any relevance)
1) Given that i created my pet-type of "device" using dia, is it
possible to add it to object list in a given "diagram type" tab
("network" in my case) ? What kind of objects can i add there and how ?
2) Critical: How can i add "glue points" to an (arbitrary) object ?
What i mean by glue point: For example a simple line segment has three
glue points: The segment end-points and the middle of segment; A
rectangle has 8 glue points (corners and sides middle), etc. The only
method to add such a point i found for "polylines" by adding a corner (ahem.)
I am asking this because i would really like to have the
possiblity to glue objects around arbitrary points such that when i
move one the link to the other streches accordingly (much like
"smart link" in xfig)
3) FYI: My 0.83 constantly segfaults when i press the "About" button in the
"Help" menu :)
