I think it will do for me ATM.
Speaking of newbie questions: Can you possibly give me an idea on how
to add connection points (or glue points whatever you want to call
them) to objects ? It would be absoultely great if i can add arbitrary
connection points to objects. Any hint on this one ?

This is why i'm switching to it. I'm mainly drawing network diagrams and
it's perfectly suited for that.
