The tranfers have gone through now, although I didn't receive a confirmation 
email? Also, the response, "It appears that the transfer went through 
usccessfully" (sic) was a bit odd - I feel like I'm being told I was 
fibbing. :)

While you're here Tim, is there any chance you could explain what's involved 
in the manual .*.uk tranfer process? The docs are a bit basic here.
