What is the list of third-party plugins you are running? Please try disabling them all and, if that fixes thing, enabling them one by one.
There are/have been a number of third-party plugins that listen for track-start events and then do -clever- stuff. If this takes more than about 50ms then it risks interfering with the synchronized start logic.
