On a related topic, who here uses GoDaddy? Vote for better working conditions for our profession by supporting companies that offer better working environments. I personally dumped GoDaddy years ago (for other reasons), and have been happy with Register4Less, and I know many are happy with other registrars. One reason that I became a Fidelity customer was because I met their IT team at a LISA years and years ago. At least at that time they were treating their IT workers as real people, with a real career track, reasonable benefits, etc. A few years ago my company decided NOT to do business with a Very Large bandwidth provider specifically because of their business practices. They were 8% less than everyone else, but senior management decided to go with a slightly more expensive vendor specifically due to the vendor's practices. It was decided that we didn't want to be on their customer list or be otherwise associated with them. Think about your vendors and decide if it is possible and/or worthwhile to consider these other criteria, over cost and convenience. Discuss these issues with your management, you *may* be pleasantly surprised. --tep _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lopsa.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/discuss This list provided by the League of Professional System Administrators http://lopsa.org/
