Hi Gabor,
- Translation Memory, it's a senetnce(or phrase) level database of source language -> target language sentences. The datbase is built u one tranlates, and the database retrieves previous translation where the source text is similar to the current source text. It's a good tool bothfor leveraging one's previous work, and for maintaining consistency over a large number of documents.

Alignment tools - take source and target language versions of the same document and gets them into the TM database.

Dictionary and Terminology managers - that's self explanatory.
