Here is how Microsoft translates them:
Virtual Memory اÙذاÙرة اÙظاÙرÙØ©
Default اÙتراضÙ

What do you think about pirating their glossary?

ok lets say for exemple 'virtual keyboard'
what would be the right arabic translation ?

the keyboard exist and not imaginary (its not 'not real')
but the keyboard exist virually

imaginary = in someone imagination =
virtualy = in virtual world =
respect;
from www.dictionary.com
virtualP Pronunciation Key (vr
ch

adj.
- Existing or resulting in essence or effect though not in actual fact, form, or name: the virtual extinction of the buffalo.
- Existing in the mind, especially as a product of the imagination. Used in literary criticism of a text.
- Computer Science. Created, simulated, or carried on by means of a computer or computer network: virtual conversations in a chatroom
=a product of the imagination, just like a fata morgana()
is derived from , a programmer takes some settings that he are the most common and by that making them =default.
I agree that isn't very right for "defaults" but alas, the big players have made it the official translation for as far long i can remember... changing a word that is already widely used is not good as it breaks standards.
