Do not have 4.2.x for ages;-) DRI CVS with 2.4.20 (-aa1) DRM module => indirect rendering with r200 ;-( > As for your question, have you posted more details on the problem ? But some progress after Felix's latest stuff. Thank you Felix and Keith! DRI CVS (Mesa-5.0 !) + DRM module running under 2.4.20-aa1 mosly smooth, now. Even "ray" runs at ~125 fps, yah. Was at slow ~25 fps before. Q3A (avg ~120, best was ~130 before) and UT (avg ~75 fps) smooth as hell. Only the "foggy" scene in the UT demo (near the end when the warrior appears) is somewhat slow (min ~27 fps). Maybe some little variation in gears or tunnel are due the GREAT new AMD 76x power management stuff? Alan? Is there any kernel parameter which I can try to test without? But I wouldn't miss it anylonger. Any hope for 2.5.xx? It is so GREAT. My dual Athlon MP 1900+ went down from ~42°-44°C (idle) and ~50°C load to ~20-23°C (idle) and yes, 50°C load. Best numbers reached when no X was running and only some file serving (samba) taken place. w83627hf-isa-0290 Adapter: ISA adapter Algorithm: ISA algorithm VCore 1: +1.72 V (min = +1.61 V, max = +1.77 V) VCore 2: +2.48 V (min = +2.36 V, max = +2.62 V) +3.3V: +3.37 V (min = +3.13 V, max = +3.45 V) +5V: +4.97 V (min = +4.72 V, max = +5.24 V) +12V: +12.08 V (min = +10.79 V, max = +13.19 V) -12V: -12.39 V (min = -13.21 V, max = -10.90 V) -5V: -5.10 V (min = -5.26 V, max = -4.76 V) V5SB: +5.39 V (min = +4.72 V, max = +5.24 V) VBat: +3.44 V (min = +2.40 V, max = +3.60 V) U160: 2343 RPM (min = 1500 RPM, div = 4) CPU 0: 4115 RPM (min = 3000 RPM, div = 2) CPU 1: 4066 RPM (min = 3000 RPM, div = 2) System: +29.0°C (limit = +40°C, hysteresis = +37°C) sensor = thermistor CPU 1: +16.5°C (limit = +52°C, hysteresis = +47°C) sensor = 3904 transistor CPU 0: +19.5°C (limit = +52°C, hysteresis = +47°C) sensor = 3904 transistor vid: +18.50 V alarms: Chassis intrusion detection beep_enable: Sound alarm disabled Now, we can call this a work station....;-) Mesa-5.0 is a clear winner.
