I'd like to know how the BK licensing issues have damaged any community. Other than a pile of flames, noone is showing any damage and there is a lot of value added. Trot over to the Linux space and you'll see that even the most fanatical free software folks admit things are much better now. People claim that our license is a problem but the only real problem is the people making the noise. All sorts of people have said they are going to reinvent BK, they tinker around for a few days or a few months and then they give it up, it's every bit as hard as I said it was. I think that the single biggest problem with the BK license is that there isn't anything in it that makes sure that you still get BK if BitMover goes under or I get hit by a truck. We're trying to figure out how to fix that because that's a reasonable concern. -- --- Larry McVoy lm at bitmover.com http://www.bitmover.com/lm ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf _______________________________________________ Dri-devel mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/dri-devel
