If it is any consolation both these issues will be configuration problems. I have used MMTTY and WINKEY with DXWIN through a MKII for years and have 10's of thousands of QSO's in the log with this setup. I'd be the first to admit that DX4WIN could do with some improvement in this area but it does all work. The key is to be consistent and make sure each part of the chain has the same instructions. Follow the setups in the MKII help, they work.
