First, I don't think you understand what Eclipse actually is. It is specifically designed for every sofware company and open source developer on the planet to plug their development products into, without spending a cent on the licensing, and knowing that everyone else will be doing the same thing. Get it? Still not worried? Are you aware of anything that has ever happened in history? The "strongest, best, biggest, fastest" is ALWAYS superceded by something. Crazy eh? In order for JetBrains to help Eclipse/uptake/support/growth people would have to be using the plugin, and hence BUYING the plugin.
