I am not married yet and don't choose to be until I am done with
school (who knows when that will be). There are three daughters in
our family and each one of us wears a ring that we got upon entering
high shcool from our parents. It symbolizes that our family is
important to us and if we decide to be married our husbands will
appreciate and respect our family. When my older sis was married,
her husband had to ask our family persmission to remove her family
ring so she may go on with him to have their own family. Sounds
corny but it is an emotional bond that our family has. On a bad day
I see my ring and know that my family is there. Same as when I marry,
I will see my wedding ring and know that the person who gave it to
me is there for me, respects me, loves me, appreciates me and much
more. It is a symbol to me which is that it bonds us together
forever as long as we both want it to.

Love, Teri
