Amazon is headquartered in Seattle which has the hottest IT job market in the
US.  Microsoft, Boeing and others have thousands of IT related job openings.
Google and Facebook have opened offices in Seattle to poach Microsoft
employees.  There is also a small retailer headquartered outside of Seattle
that may also have a few job openings called Costco.
One reason for Amazon's lack of contact numbers is probably to reduce poaching
and trying to hold on to its IT staff.

Obviously you have never dealt with Amazon. They do not have a telephone
number to call. You can only send questions through their web site and who
knows how long it takes them to respond. I just went through this with a
client.

information??

Huh? Where have you been the past ten years?

Every week we're good for at least a couple of "does anyone have a contact
for <my trading partner>?" questions.

>...which was found by doing a google search using 'Amazon EDI contact'...

I know I once posted my own personal technique . let's see if I can find
it....nah... but let me recreate best I can...

Pick up this newfangled thing they call a "telephone." (This wondrous piece
of technology allows you to speak with other people
who are not even in the same room!)

Call the parnter's switchboard (phone numbers are often found on the
partner's web site); press '9' to speak to a human if
necessary.

Introduce yourself and state your problem to the human. Allow that human to
connect you with the correct party.

Allow for the fact that you may not get the exact right party the first time
and you may have to introduce yourself and explain the
information you seek again. Repeat until succesful.

Darned, now all my competitors are privy to my secret method!
