As an attorney here in Texas for 39 years, my experience has been that our profession is the most closely watched and disciplined of any I know. It is hard to get to take the Texas Bar exam. You need letters from everyone for whom you have worked recommending you, etc. Last time I checked, Texas publicly disciplined and disbarred more attorneys than any other state on a % basis. Is this harsh? Was your law school classmate treated unfairly? I don't know, but don't play games at the airport in Texas even if you have a KX3. Jim NN5O James A.
