Good Evening,
Cool temperatures with intermittent showers created mushrooms. I
saw yellow and white Chanterelle caps pushing through layers of fir
needles. There were quail near the road with grouse through out the
forest. More leaves have fallen so you can see farther. Fog dropped
from tree top level to near the ground, then slowly rose again; the
trees rain more or less accordingly.
Compared to last week the sun is almost bare of sunspots. However,
we are due for a stream of high speed solar wind. That should liven
things up a bit. The sun angle will affect the forty meter net. That
net will begin about an hour before dusk. By the end of the net the sun
will have dropped below the local horizon. Propagation may change
quickly. We will find out tomorrow.
