I'm not saying it wasn't brought on my 10.2.8, but since I'm not having the problem, I tend to suspect that it is a conflict with 10.2.8 and something else, and not just 10.2.8 itself. It might very well be a conflict with another Apple extension. There are many (most) that I have turned off.
