I'm sure this must be an old question so please bear with me, as I do
not know if the list has an archive.
I have an old Mac IIvx on which I would like to use Emailer for a
dial-up connection to the mail server on Earthlink. In the Emailer
setup, one selects from a list of "networks", each of which calls a
script to interact with a given service provider. Earthlink is not on
the list. Would anyone have a script that will work for Earthlink?
For Earthlink, use the "Internet" service provider and then tell it you
are dialing a PPP connection.
Thanks.
There are two places to choose "Internet"
a) at the very beginning where the choices are
Claris Office Mail
Internet (SMTP/POP3)
Compuserve
America Online
RadioMail
AppleLink
b) From within the Compuserve selection above.
If I set up an account in Internet(SMTP/POP3) there are no options for
setting up a modem (I think it assumes that one has an active ethernet
connection)
So I'm confused ;-)
