Earlier versions of TCP/IP had problems getting DNS from PPP and
DHCP, so you have to manually set the DNS IP addresses.
It is looking like that might be the source of your problems, and
once that is done, everything will start working correctly.
BTW, am I the only idiot posting on this list? ;-) I don't see
many others, but I'm certainly grateful for your help.
No, once in a blue moon someone posts. But yes, for the most part,
the list had died off. After all, it is a support list for a product
that not only was discontinued 10 years ago, but also can't even be
run on a Mac made in the last 2 years (any Intel based Mac).
I have no idea how many people are still on the list, but I'd be
surprised if it is more than about 30 people. And all of them have
been using Emailer so long, they don't really need support any more.
It isn't as if Emailer is gaining many users, so there isn't often
that someone new joins the list.
