Earlier versions of TCP/IP had problems getting DNS from PPP and DHCP,
so you have to manually set the DNS IP addresses.
It is looking like that might be the source of your problems, and once

So now I receive mail. But I cannot send mail (which is my primary
objective ;-) )
It says:
550 Please configure your mail client to use authentication.
SMTP server error "503 valid RCPT command must precede DATA"
What do you think? We're nearly there!!
